McMan is currently recruiting for a
Team Lead for our James House program. This is a one year term - full time position.

The James House provides Transitional (bridge) recovery-oriented supportive housing for individuals who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness.


The Team Lead role will encompass two main areas: In a leadership capacity, the Team Lead will support the Program Supervisor with administrative leadership tasks such as file audits, data management, preparation of team meeting materials, supporting the management of client and building expenditures and program reporting.

The other area is oversight of building management and community engagement.

This includes coordinating future safe and sustainable housing for James House residents upon their transition out of the program after 12 months.

In addition to overseeing building operations (leases, rent collection, and maintenance), they also foster an extensive network of community resources spanning housing, education, and employment.

The Team Lead plays a key role in integrating a client focused, strength-based approach aimed at achieving positive outcomes through the integration of Natural Supports and Trauma Informed practices.


You will:


  • Identify and engage with various community housing organizations and landlords.
  • Develop partnerships with external stakeholders and service providers to strengthen supports and capacity for James House residents.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the HomeSpace Housing liaison reporting incidents, maintenance requests and strategizing on neighbor engagement.
  • Complete effective, timely and consistent delivery of leases, notices to tenants, monthly unit checks, updating rent roll, and maintenance requests.
  • Conducting in regular reviews of data input into program and agency databases
  • Financial data entry of Client Rent and Client Gift Cards monthly.

You Have:


  • A degree or diploma in Human Services
  • Three (3) years' experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • People leadership experience.
  • Strong writing, organizational, program planning and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Transitional Housing
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the Homeless Serving System of Care.
  • Experience with HMIS data preferred.
  • Current standard First Aid Certification and Suicide Intervention Training.
  • Valid Driver's license and adequate insurance coverage.
