    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Sr. Project Controls Manager to work out of our Mississauga, ON office.

    As an industry leader in program management and construction management for large capital programs, AECOM oversees activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives. We act as an extension of our clients' staff, protecting their interests as our own.

    Major Responsibilities for Sr. Project Controls Manager are as follows:

    Leading the project controls function and team on a large and unique project.

    Develops and maintains project and program Cost Management and Project Controls Management systems and software

    Holds an expert understanding of schedule, critical path analysis, resource loading and leveling systems and software

    Holds an expert understanding of implementation and administration on Earned Value performance management systems

    Holds an expert understanding on implementation of Scope and Change Management systems

    Develops commercial strategies. Capable of participating in negotiations.

    Conducts root cause analysis.

    Drafts comprehensive project controls plans, procedures, workflows and processes.

    Utilizes extensive knowledge of engineering and construction contracting including the way contract type affects implementation of project controls systems.

    Reviews performance trends, prepares analysis and cost impact and monthly project performance reports, and recommends contractor invoices for approval.

    Evaluates manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.

    Assists the Project Manager in budgeting and managing incentive programs.

    Reviews and analyzes project program and oversee the production of accurate progress/performance reports.

    Review and assesses (as required) raw data that comes from project automated systems.

    Serves as a key participant in client and/or subcontractor negotiations

    Establishes and maintains client relationships.

    Documents employee performance issues and plays an instrumental role in resolution as appropriate.

    Assumes mentoring and training roles as requested and identifies high potential employees to management.

    Participates in staffing decisions for projects.

    BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business + 15 Years in Project Controls including 2 years of leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience.

    Qualifications

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Has led large Project Control Teams and Projects over $30M CAD is a strong asset

    Over 15 years of experience in Project Controls including implementation of large project earned value systems

    Post graduate studies in Project Management / Construction Management field

    Possess advanced working knowledge of Cost and Earned Value Software (e.g. Prism, Unifier, InEight)

    Possess advanced working knowledge of Schedule Software

    Possess working knowledge of Risk and Contingency Management

    •Offered rate of compensation in Mississauga will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $160,000. - $180,000.
