Qualifications:

Essential:


  • Postsecondary education, in a related Social Science or Public Administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered
  • Experience in quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Experience in the area of program and policy development and evaluation
  • Experience conducting research and data analysis
  • Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively engage various stakeholders in a variety of settings
  • Excellent written communications skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, logical reports
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines

Duties:


The Quality Management Officer is accountable for participating in the planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Quality Management and Continuous Improvement function throughout the province through the identification, development and implementation of best practice strategies that support the Corporate & Strategic Service's vision on the delivery of service to the public.

The incumbent is accountable for original evidence-based research, preparing feasibility assessments, and developing proposed quality management guidelines and performance expectations.
