Registered Clinical Counsellor - join our collaborative, multi-disciplinary clinics where you are an integral team member who invites challenges, overcomes obstacles, and celebrates success when treating a niche group of clients with neurological conditions.


Who we are
Neuromotion has three clinics with locations in Vancouver, Victoria and Surrey
.

We specialize in treating clients with neurological conditions including Spinal cord injuries, TBI, ABI, strokes, Parkinson's Disease, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and facial palsy.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes Physiotherapy, Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Counselling, Registered Massage Therapy, and Speech Therapy.

As a Clinical Counsellor you approach client care with compassion, knowledge, and professionalism. Additionally, you can multi-task, are willing to learn, and are adaptable to change. Your strongest asset is your capacity to treat your clients in becoming the best they can be.

Your ability to connect and build rapport with clients and their families as well as work with multidisciplinary team members will have a direct impact on the care of individuals with neurological injuries.


What you will focus on

Conducting initial assessments, consultation, and psych educational services


Encouraging clients with positive reinforcement to reach their goals


Communicating with the Clinical Lead, team members, clients, employers, referral sources, family members and other counsellors.


Creating, Building, and Maintaining effective connections with your clients
and team members


Ensuring psychological case management input and direction to the therapy teams pertaining to initial assessment, treatment planning, clients' progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions and problem solving, and discharge planning.


Processing accurate and timely charts based on assessment and team input


Mentoring and orientation to assist other team members to effectively manage clients' psycho-social issues.


Providing a calm and sympathetic demeanor in difficult situations.


Optimizing and Maximizing your daily schedule


Organizing other tasks as needed


What you bring
Masters in Counselling / Clinical Psychology

Professional registration with the applicable college or association

2+ years of Professional experience is an asset

Ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients to self-manage

Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other correspondence

Ability to communicate using different styles and methods to suit individual clients and situations

Experience with chronic pain and post concussive symptoms are an asset.
