Job Summary:


Reporting to the Director, External Communications, the Content Manager will play a key role in contributing to the development and implementation of the overall marketing strategy for Distech Controls.

You'll work cross-functionally with colleagues in marketing, product, sales, and design.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Content Development

  • Create and distribute various types of impactful content (inspirational, engaging, educational, etc.) for a variety of marketing and communications programs such as, but not limited to, presentations, brochures, promotional materials, case studies, newsletters, social media and website content.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail for writing best practices, including editing, flow, grammar and punctuation.
Digital Marketing

  • In collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager, create and publish content on various digital and social media platforms, and maintain a consistent calendar of timely and relevant content.
  • Communicate with audiences across all channels to build community relationships, including participating in conversations and responding to user questions/comments.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of digital programs related to product launches, public relations and general marketing campaigns.
  • Engage users (sales reps, customers, employees, etc.) with branded content.

Marketing Events:

  • Contribute to the content development of marketing materials required for strategic events in the Americas and selected international trade shows.
  • Ensure coverage (in person or remotely) of various internal and external events, in order to bring the Distech Controls experience to life through social platforms, but also to support the group's events team in the needs related to these events, when required.

Project Management:

  • Manage project schedules, suppliers, internal resources, deadlines and budgets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), report results and play an active role in improving overall marketing strategy.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or journalism or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar marketing role.
  • Excellent writing skills in English and good knowledge of French.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects while being flexible to accommodate shifting priorities.
  • Initiative and team spirit, at ease in a remote working environment.
  • Sense of organization and priorities, rigor, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Mailchimp, Loomly, Asana and the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • B2B experience in the technology sector an asset.
