RESPONSIBILITIES
Inbound
- Oversee the endtoend shipping lifecycle of all imports through various modes of transportation
- Air, Ocean, Road, Rail
- Liaise with vendors and freight forwarders for all shipments and delivery status
- Liaise with factories and measure compliance
- Review all shipping documents and maintain its accuracy
- Plan and execute the shipment of products & materials, ensuring their timely movement through each stage of the supply chain
- Maintain and update data that pertains to key milestones (Departures, Handovers, ETAs) that provides endtoend visibility and insight into the transportation and shipping
- Identify potential disruptions, working proactively rather than reactively
- Monitor forwarder operations and rate performance and explore alternatives
- Experience with Duties, Freights, Brokerage and Tariffs of shipments
- Review, process and GL code invoices; measure benchmark and deep dive into anomalies
Outbound
- Oversee the endtoend shipping lifecycle of all our eComm and Retail shipments
- Maintain and update data that pertains to key milestones (OTP on fulfilment and shipping) that provide endtoend visibility and insight for our profile
- Monitor shipments closely while collaborating with the internal production and sales teams as well as external stakeholders such as customers and carriers to provide status updates and promptly resolve any shipment issues
- Organize and submit claims for missing and damaged packages and follow through to payment
- Review, process and GL code invoices; measure benchmark and deep dive into anomalies
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 12 years at minimum of logistics coordination experience required, preferably in a retail focused company
- Keen eye for data accuracy and detail
- Medium excel proficiency level
- Strong organizational skills
- Proactive mindset and passion for process improvement
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with major carriers such as FedEx, UPS, Canada Post
- Experience with NetSuite ERP would be preferable, but not mandatory
