Description

The British Columbia Conservation Foundation (BCCF) is seeking
two crew members to assist with riparian restoration work in the Koksilah Watershed.

The restoration work is part of the Farmland Advantage Program.

Farmland Advantage is a research and development project that works with farmers to conserve and enhance critical, natural values of their riparian areas.

We adopt an interdisciplinary approach using bioengineering techniques and native species planting to restore the natural functions of the land.

The program was introduced to the Koksilah watershed in 2021 and has expanded since then to other regions.

Our efforts so far have helped restore 7,288 m2 | 78,450 ft2 of riparian habitat on Vancouver Island in partnership with local First Nations and our agricultural community.

After a successful two years of restoration initiative, we care about building local capacity.

If you like the outdoors, want to learn more about habitat preservation and restoration, and want to have a fun and rewarding experience, we want to hear from you
