    About the Job:

    The Registered Nurse:
    • Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, both independently and as part of a team
    • Enhances quality of life for patients and families; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health providers
    • Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
    • Maintains and advances clinical competence
    • Participates in hospital committees/teams and research projects


    This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed, may vary, and shifts may be short notice. Casual employees can apply for internal permanent and temporary positions, opening up various opportunities within Interior Health.

    Shifts for this position include days, evenings, and nights from 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, 23:00 to 07:00.

    About this location/unit:

    Cottonwoods Care Centre is centrally located in beautiful Kelowna, BC. The facility, established in 1976 with subsequent additions, currently spans 156,080 square feet.

    The Aberdeen Unit offers 60 Short Stay beds including 1 respite bed. Bridgeway caters to special populations with 27 beds, mainly younger adults. Cadder Court and Driftwood Units each have 42 beds. The Ethel Glen Unit is a secured dementia unit with 42 beds and a respite bed.

    The facility includes the Gerontology Centre, offering consultation services for geriatric clients through an interdisciplinary team featuring an in-house geriatrician.
