Job Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the safe removal of hazardous materials from diverse sites.
  • Prepare hazardous materials for disposal following detailed work procedures.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for the dismantling of structures and the removal of hazardous materials.
  • Assist in the setup of job sites for HazMat work, which includes assembling containment structures and sealing off work areas.
  • Thoroughly clean and decontaminate work areas and equipment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all relevant safety standards, in accordance with WorkSafe BC requirements.

Requirements:


Experience and Knowledge:

  • Willingness to work in hazardous environments while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects and performing physically demanding tasks over extended periods.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a labor or demolition worker role.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy objects and endure physically demanding tasks for extended durations.

Salary:
$25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
