- Working within SLR's Land Quality and Remediation team under the guidance of Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals and other senior contaminated sites experts on a variety of interesting and complex sites across BC
- Based in Vancouver, BC. with flexible work options available
- Management of contaminated sites projects such as site investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, and remediation programs, to ensure successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction
- Coordination and supervision of field staff and subcontractors
- Engagement of experienced senior team members, including Project Directors, Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals, and technical specialists to develop work plans and execute projects
- Analysis and interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports for senior review and submission to clients and regulators
- Liaison and relationship building with clients and other project stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery
- Active participation in proposals and other business development opportunities to build SLR's client base and revenue stream
- Provision of technical leadership through mentoring of staff during project delivery and for other aspects such as Health and Safety, training, team building and other, as required
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate findings and interpretations with various scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines
- Actioning difficult project challenges with curiosity and positivity

- The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

- 5+ years of experience in the environmental consulting industry
- Strong technical background in environmental site assessment and remediation, waste discharge permitting and compliance, and/or construction environmental management.
- Working knowledge of provincial (BC CSR) and federal (CCME) environmental regulations and guidelines
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, or geosciences preferred
- Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization (, , , , preferred)
- Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for travel to job sites/clients

Job Description RoleYou will work closely with a group of amazing young professionals in the contaminated sites assessment and remediation industry to design, implement, and deliver a wide range of projects for a diverse client base across BC in the Power, Energy, Infrastructure, Mining, Industrial, and Built Environment sectors.
These projects will include a range of responsibilities from managing interdisciplinary projects to authoring technical summary reports, designing work programs, preparing competitive proposals for new work, and mentoring staff.
