This role will be reporting directly to the Chief Operations and Digital Officer (CODO).

Job Purpose & Summary


We are looking for a qualified Business Process Analyst that will work to coordinate, develop and administer programs, projects, services and training related to the credit union's banking system and associated systems.

The Business Process Analyst will communicate and implement processes in relation to the various systems and goals of the credit union while providing strategic, operational, and technical advice/expertise internally to staff/departments.

You will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and review of all operational policies and procedures.


Required Experience:


  • Intellectual curiosity, selfstarter attitude with high degree of ownership
  • Ability to evaluate existing operational processes and update based on industry standards and best practices.
  • Ability to deliver training of complex processes in simplified terms.

Qualifications:


  • 35 years of related business, analytical or operational experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (Advanced Degree preferred) in a business or quantitative field, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience
  • Experience demonstrating innovation, creativity, and initiative solving business problems
  • Demonstrable skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
  • Knowledge of DNA Banking system would be an asset
  • Knowledge in the financial services sector
  • Formal certifications/designations (lean/process/project/analytics) would be an asset
  • Must be bondable

Job Duties:


  • Responsible for evaluating operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis relating to operational functions, workflow, processes, and other business related issues.
  • Analyze and evaluate competitor data and industry trends to understand current business unit competitive posture
  • Responsible for reviewing and providing recommendations to operational policies and procedures, using best practices, industry standards and ensuring efficiencies.
  • Responsible for creating and updating operational procedures & policies.
  • Contribute to the development of Service policies and procedures and act as the primary "owner" of the procedures & policies document and associated support. Collect and analyze business processes; synthesize results of analyses, develop and make recommendations and alternatives based on the full spectrum of internal/external considerations
  • Use data warehousing/business intelligence toolsets to gather, store, and provide access to data in assist management decision making
  • Collaborate with the Operations team and business units to conduct needs assessment to support organization strategies, tactics, and learning solutions that support business unit objectives
  • Identify areas of improvement; determine solutions; implement enhancements/changes to improve operations, standards and results
  • Compile, research and analyze trends in support of projects and initiatives
  • Processing, cleansing, validating the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Lead, coordinate, deliver and participate in information sessions to stakeholders
  • Lead basic to complex projects, responsible for overall implementation and execution of project and performance criteria.
  • Other duties as assigned
