    Unit Summary

    Patient Food Services provides meals, snacks and enteral feeding for inpatients, outpatients, day clinics and community clients.

    Position Summary

    The Nutrition Attendant/Receiver is responsible for receiving and storage of patient food service items, inventory, organizing and cleaning patient food service storage areas and ware washing. Prepares and portion hot cereal, sandwiches desserts, fruit and nourishments. Assemble and deliver ER kits and trays.

    Qualifications
  • Ability to bend, lift and push
    2. Ability to read, write and understand English
    3. Basic computer skills.
    4. Ability to work independently with a minimal amount of supervision
    5. Ability to effectively communicate with several different areas including Nutrition Services, unit staff and supervisors
    6. Ability to function in a team environment
    7. Good decision-making skills
    8. Food handlers certificate
