Hady Construction is looking for an EXPERIENCED Construction Site Superintendent that has experience with Industrial building areas from ground up.

We are looking for someone with an eye for details, and with at least 5 years of experience in a superintendent role in Industrial Construction.


ABOUT THE COMPANY:


We are a General Contractor with a team of leading professionals in a small-company setting, that specializes in Industrial, Commercial and some Institutional projects with a vast number of Car Dealership Projects under our belt.


Hady is looking to add to our team a Site Superintendent who will be responsible for managing daily on-site activity of the job site / project, and ensure it is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications and local codes.

This individual confirms adequate manpower is available for tasks by scheduling and directing the work of all subcontractors, consultants and vendors to meet or exceed our Client's expectations.

This individual
must have Canadian experience in as a Site Superintendent in industrial buildings. A big plus if you have car dearlership experience and Industrial Warehouses

Compensation relevant to experience + Health and Dental.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of INDUSTRIAL experience as Site Superintendent
  • Ability to quickly identify problem situations, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion
  • Advanced understanding of Canadian regulations relating to compliance on building permits and construction codes
  • Proficient in Construction Health & Safety requirements and environmental hazards and controls
  • Up to date safety training including: Working at Heights, WHMIS & First Aid
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and providing mentorship and guidance to the site team
  • Working Knowledge of MS products (Word, Project, Excel) an asset
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (gas allowance provided by company)
  • Must be in Canada and able to work legally in Canada (we do not sponsor)

Responsibilities:


  • Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control the interior finishing of construction projects according to schedule, specifications and budget
  • Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the design, scheduling, potential construction problems
  • Ensure the implementation of our Safety Program to create and maintain a safe work environment on the job site and adhere to the safety and recordkeeping requirements
  • Oversee daytoday field activities inspecting work performed by employees, other contractors and subcontractors displaying a high level of honesty and professionalism
  • Retains 24/7 ownership for site in its entirety ensuring its security and safety regardless of time of day/night and the day of the week
  • In partnership with the

Project Manager:
contract, schedule and supervise the activities of all subcontractors and tradespeople

  • Partner with the Project Manager to discuss errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant's design drawings
  • Maintain good working relationships with the clients, consultants, subtrades and regulatory authorities
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team's ongoing progression
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
  • Maintain strict buildout construction schedule and make changes as necessary to ensure deadlines are met
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding work performed
  • Track supply inventory and materials to guard against loss and to ensure that vital materials are ordered and delivered to meet schedule
  • Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required
  • Expected to perform physical labour from time to time, as necessary, to complete work efficiently and economically
  • Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control
  • Control and monitor labour, material and equipment
  • Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements
  • Process time sheets, purchase orders, directives and other documentation as necessary
  • Maintain a safe, organized and clean job site compliant with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation for Construction Projects
  • Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists
  • Provide other duties as requested and required
