Windigo Contracts LP is a 100% First Nation Owned company providing remote camp services including camp management, catering, and housekeeping to various mining and construction projects.

We are seeking to hire qualified personnel for the following position:


Project Manager

Responsibilities/Job Description:


  • Overall management and coordination of the various remote camp operations and teams
  • Client contact and liaison for various projects
  • Coordinate, participate, organize, and execute mobilization and demobilization of camps
  • Create, monitor, manage and enforce the schedules on multiple projects including employee travel
  • Work with each site manager, or designate as required, to ensure all are completing their scope of work in a timely manner. Provide support services on projects as necessary.
  • Monitor various orders of goods and supplies, assist in arranging logistics and ensuring products arrive complete and in a timely manner
  • Complete budgeting and costing for potential projects
  • Maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Promote and enforce the company Health and Safety Management System

Basic/ Minimum Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator
  • Prior camp management or remote head chef experience an asset
  • Project management training is considered an asset
  • Great communication skills
  • Highly organized and selfmotivated
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • A valid 'G' Class Driver's License

Comments:
Competitive salary established by experience and knowledge. Applicants must be willing to travel as required, throughout the Northwestern region of Ontario.

We are located at 136 Mission Road, Fort William First Nation, ON P7K 1J6


Salary:
$50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Thunder Bay, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Project management: 5 years (preferred)
