We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Business Analyst to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks.

Contract Duration:
ASAP to Oct 31, approx. 5.5 months
Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE


Typical Day in Role:


  • Contribute to multiple projects to implement solutions to business problems and responsible for ensuring that management is kept informed, and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Planning and scheduling resources, developing detailed project plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, financial review, and securing consensus and cooperation from users and senior management.
  • Participate in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversion, providing user documentation, providing user training, and providing postimplementation support.
  • Provide business support to all units Globally, including new and existing product and deal structuring, ad hoc queries and MIS, user training, and assisting with the design and implementation of systems enhancements. This is made more challenging due to differences in time zones and the variation in the business lines.
  • Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines.
  • Be involved in Credit Adjudication and Business Relationship / Entity Enablement across various business Structures to help the bank onboard new customer types
  • Be responsible for researching and recommending resolution of complex business problems with for the assigned Lines of Business and support extended business unit teams
  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements for the assigned Lines of Business
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems including analyzing business needs, documenting requirements and translating them into proper systems requirement specifications on technical documents
  • Gathers and refines specifications and requirements based on technical needs and will be following assigned activities in a consistent manner & further communicate it throughout the team based on completion of the tasks
  • Work in the Small Business team and will pursue effective and efficient operations while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations
1) 10+ years' experience as a BSA
2) 5+ years' experience with Credit Adjudication
3) 5+ years' experience Customer / Product Onboarding
4) 5+ years' experience with Technical Design Documents /BRD creation


Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) BSA experience coming from Business / Commercial / Retail Banking an asset
2) PMI / PMP an asset


Soft Skills Required:


  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain cooperation from both users and senior management.
  • Good time management and organizational skills will allow to effectively manage small projects while planning and scheduling resources within those projects to optimize productivity.

Education:

Post-Secondary
Project Management Certification an asset


Job Type:
Fixed term contract


Salary:
$55.00-$75.00 per hour
