Position Summary:


John Bear Buick Chevrolet GMC is looking for a
Parts Manager to join our team in New Hamburg This individual will have the opportunity to run a strong retail and wholesale operation.

Reporting to the Director of Parts, Greg Barker, the Parts Manager is responsible for working, overseeing and managing the Dealership Parts Department.

This individual is motivated and results-driven and a leader who is devoted to managing an efficient parts department. They are experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of the operation.


The Parts Manager is an excellent communicator and collaborator and is a master at running a profitable and efficient Department.

They are well versed in purchasing and inventory control and are constantly setting goals and achieving them.


The Parts Manager upholds the dealerships' standards and values so that the customer is fully satisfied with every interaction in the service department.

As a team player, the Parts Manager fosters good relationships with personnel in all areas of the dealership.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor the parts inventory and anticipate parts needs in light of future promotions, new model years, trends, and suggested stock orders.
  • Responsible for the security of inventory and for analyzing the quality of parts.
  • Responsible for profit management in the Parts Department and must examine department financial statements, including expenses and revenue, to ensure the department's profitability.
  • In cooperation with the dealership's management team, must review the previous month's sales/profit performance to determine where improvements can be made.
  • Must time inventory purchases to coincide with sales and special incentives in order to take advantage of savings.
  • Responsible for training and leading the Parts Department team and motivating and monitoring employees and their activities/results.

Qualifications:


  • Prior experience as a Parts Manager considered an asset
  • Experience leading and supervising Team Members
  • Solid understanding of and proven experience with operational planning and management
  • Experience working with GM brand an asset
  • Proficiency working with ERP systems (ie. Reynolds), and Microsoft Office software (ie. Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
  • Proven ability to influence change and effectively lead projects
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain internal controls
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
  • Selfmotivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution

Compensation:
salary + bonus, $80,000 +
