Portfolio Manager,

Vendor Management role, providing senior consulting to Fraser Health executive within an assigned portfolio in the areas of technical infrastructure, data centre operations and vendor business relationship management.


Position Highlights:

The

Portfolio Manager, Vendor Management provides strategic leadership, innovative services and hands-on expertise to Fraser Health executive, ensuring effective vendor management and procurement occurs in alignment with the Fraser Health goals and objectives. The

Portfolio Manager, Vendor Management will optimize vendor relationships and contribute to the organization's success by optimizing partnerships, driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and fostering innovation.


Responsibilities include:


  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure vendor performance and service quality.
  • Regularly review vendor performance data and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure contract compliance and monitor vendor performance against SLAs to establish clear expectations and deliverables. Address performance issues and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Review, challenge and process vendor invoices, actively manage to budget targets
  • Lead vendor performance review meetings and drive initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to leverage emerging technologies and methodologies.
  • Coordinate enterprise agreement and recurring contract renewals, modifications and support negotiations.
  • Maintain a repository of vendorrelated documentation, metrics, contracts, and performance data.
  • Cultivate strong ongoing relationships with key vendors, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Facilitate regular communication between internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Manage conflicts and disputes that may arise between the organization and vendors.
  • Hire, mentor and supervise direct reports assigned, to support the department objectives
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including project managers, procurement teams, and senior leadership, to align vendor management strategies with overall business goals.
  • Support and contribute to comprehensive strategic plans for vendor management, procurement and termination.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define service requirements, conduct evaluations and assessments to ensure vendors meet quality, cost, and service expectations.
  • Assist with financial forecasting and budget planning to achieve cost savings and value for the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder teams to ensure vendorrelated changes align with change management processes and manage the impact of vendorrelated changes on projects and operations.

Build on your education and career experience as you:

  • Ensure vendor commitments are kept: contracts, SLA/SLOs, metrics, licenses, reports and enterprise agreements are delivered as agreed upon
  • Translate business needs, partnerships and infrastructure into practical managed operations solutions, for use across Fraser Health
  • Develop, lead and mentor a team of staff supporting Health Informatics and Information Technology services across the organization
  • Provide leadership and consultation on solutions and technologies with respect to vendor constraints, managing stakeholder expectations
  • Ensures service and project delivery by acting as a vendor liaison to other departments and projects; measuring key outcomes, assessing project deliverables and ensuring customer satisfaction,
  • Managing vendor licenses, invoices and credit usage for optimum utilization and fulfillment
  • Prepares, manages and evaluates the procurement of external services by participating and/or managing the RFI, RFQ, and or RFP process including creating and evaluating the RFP and funds for large enterprisewide systems initiatives. Liaises with outside vendors, reviews bids and/or negotiates equipment and/or service contracts, and makes recommendations where necessary to the Manager. Monitors the level of support to ensure requirements and expectations of the contract(s) are met.
