BHPN:

The Black Healthcare Professionals Network (BHPN) is an initiative that aims to connect Black healthcare professionals across Canada.

Our mission is to provide a platform for networking, professional development, and community building, while also promoting diversity and inclusion in the healthcare industry.

BHPN's ultimate goal is to build a comprehensive directory of Black healthcare professionals to enhance representation and increase access to care for Black communities.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the BHPN team to develop video and photography concepts that align with BHPN's mission and values.
  • Capture highquality footage and images of BHPN events, members, and initiatives, using a variety of equipment and techniques.
  • Edit and produce videos and photos, ensuring that the final products are polished, engaging, and align with BHPN's branding guidelines.
  • Work closely with the BHPN team to understand their needs and requirements for visual content, and ensure that deliverables are on time and on budget.
  • Keep uptodate with trends and best practices in video and photography, and identify opportunities for BHPN to enhance its visual content.
  • Manage the organization's video and photography library, ensuring that all assets are organized and accessible to the team.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in videography, photography, film, or a related field.
  • 23 years of experience as a videographer/photographer, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Proficiency in video and photo editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop.
  • Ability to operate a variety of video and photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Strong storytelling and narrative skills, with an ability to create compelling content that resonates with viewers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Knowledge of social media and digital advertising platforms, with an understanding of how video and photography can support advertising efforts.
