    Career Opportunity

    Provides a variety of administrative and clerical support services for the Revenue and Security Equipment Maintenance (RSEM) section, including carrying out general administrative assignments relating to material and equipment acquisitions and capital project acquisitions. Performs a variety of general office duties relating to the sections daily activities.

    What You Will Do

    • Provides a variety of administrative and clerical support services for the Revenue & Security Equipment Maintenance (RSEM) section
    • Coordinates work requests, emergency and service calls for locksmithing, and revenue and security equipment
    • Carries out general administrative assignments relating to material and equipment acquisitions and capital project acquisitions
    • Sets-up, administers, monitors and maintains various computerized databases and software relating to the work of the section and preparing associated reports
    • Prepares and processes payroll for section staff; provides correspondence support as required
    • Performs a variety of general office duties relating to the section's daily activities
    • Demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.     What Qualifications Do You Bring?

    • Completion of secondary school education in a relevant discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
    • Sound knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
    • Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of personal computers and proficient in the use of computerized and software applications relevant to the work (i.e. word processing, databases, spreadsheets,) and possess high speed keyboarding skills
    • Must be detail-oriented, having good analytical ability; strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills are required for the purpose of obtaining and exchanging information relative to work assignments
    • Must be or become proficient in using the Materials Management System, the Job Based Cost System, SAP, the RSEM Equipment Maintenance and Reliability System, Maximo and Farego, On-line Attendance Reporting System and other system applications relating to assignments
    • Will be required to operate a mainframe terminal, facsimile machine, printer, canamex communications device, Tetra Radios and other office equipment necessary to perform duties
    • Knowledge of fare collection and security equipment would be a definite asset
    • Requires a valid, non-probationary, Province of Ontario class "G" driver's license; for operation of a non-revenue vehicle to conduct section business
    • Required to successfully complete the Operations Training Centre's training for the operation of a TTC non-revenue vehicle
    • Must have or rapidly acquire knowledge of TTC and departmental policies, procedures and office routine applicable to the work performed. This includes knowledge of the TTC's purchasing practices and procedures, policies and/or sections of the Collective Agreement relevant to the work, and payroll procedures and policies.
    • Must successfully pass a security background check as part of the candidate pre-screening and selection process
