Part-Time Parts Processor

Status:
Part-Time Contract - 6 months Contract

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 10:00am to 6:30pm with flexibility for hours

32 to 40 hours weekly availability required. 6 months Contract with possibility of permanent

The Role

The Parts Processor will be responsible for parts pick up, receiving, shipping, maintenance of stocking inventory, fulfilling part requests and process core returns to vendors.

The Parts Processor will be responsible for checking, validating, correcting and creating billing lines and working with the National Administration Team to follow up on parts receiving.

The Part Processor will find effective and efficient way to organize, collect and ship the return of core parts back to vendors.

The Part Processor must be able to work in a cross functional environment with a "Team player" attitude and being able to support Production Team as required with accuracy and speed.

The Part Processor is responsible for running reports and collection of data as required.

Responsibilities:

Parts Inventory: Ensures the parts are maintained properly in the SMART system and is able to report discrepancies and request for correction as required. Work with the Parts Department to fulfill fluctuating business demands for receiving, shipping and core pick up and returns
Administration: Completes all paperwork and documentation required thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. Exercises care in avoiding errors and rework, and pays attention to details. Accurately enters appropriate data into the computer system, as required. Maintains paperwork in an organized fashion for easy retrieval and reference.
Material Handling: Material handling is required for lifting up to 50 pounds
Safety/Security: Maintains a safe environment for associates and visitors. Keeps all work areas clean, neat and organized. Identifies security risks and takes appropriate corrective measures

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum of 2 years related experience working in Parts Processing at a high level of competency in receiving, shipping & billing procedures, and parts ordering
Ability to gather data from variety of sources and analyze the data to monitor and support trends and upcoming change is an asset
Displays a strong knowledge of the parts inventory processes
Has a high proficiency of Excel and MS Office based programs
Experience in dealing with internal and external customers including stores, consumers, third party vendors/depots and CHQ.
Ability to read service manuals, various service packages, diagrams and navigate vendor websites.
Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy; possess good verbal and written communication skills; have excellent organizational skills; a selfstarter and a team player
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing or verbally with peers as well as leadership
Experience working in a fast paced service environment and must have good attention to details
Has promoted a positive work environment through actions and attitude
Heavy Lifting may be required up to 50 pounds
Must be willing to take any training related to the job
