ROLE OVERVIEW:

Quadrant Construction Ltd. is seeking a full-time, talented, and experienced Project Manager to join and grow with the company.

The key objectives in the Project Manager role at Quadrant are to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, with exceptional quality, while adhering to our COR safety standards.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from project initiation to completion keeping Quadrant's key objectives at the forefront.
• Work with the general manager, clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors to create a detailed budget estimate and scope of work.
• Have a strong site presence which leads to achieving our key objectives.
• Skilled at reading design and blueprint packages in detail.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other subtrades to ensure proper layout of projects and trouble shoot if there are issues.
• Review and research work to be conducted on site i.e., building codes, envelope requirements, etc.
• Utilize or learn new building technology and software.
• Ensure project is cost effective and meets client's needs.
• Inform clients of changes to scope and provide an estimate of cost to these changes.
• Keep project costs tracked through Quadrant's cost tracking system.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing submitted by subcontractors.
• Develop the construction schedule for each managing project.
• Take ownership of project productivity and outcomes.
• Estimate and manage staff labour requirements for projects. Meet weekly with other Project Manager's to set a schedule for staff for the subsequent twoweek period.
• Provide due dates to clients, designers, and engineers for all drawings and specifications needed to meet project timelines and avoid delays.
• Order selected material for the project according to project schedule. Know the critical paths.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Respond to inquiries to and from municipal personnel, engineers, consultants, and inspectors.
• Meet with clients to present updates on progress, timelines, and budget.
• Leading/teaching/guiding/mentoring Quadrant staff.
• Communicate clearly with carpentry staff and subcontractors and suppliers.
• Be available to receive and respond to site emergencies 24/
• Fully understand, manage, and execute Quadrant's Health & Safety Management System.
• Ensure all site safety is implemented in a meaningful and purposeful way.
• Project closeout ensure the last 10% of a project is completed quickly and efficiently and meets Quadrant's high standards.
• Work on project management and operational systems to continually improve Quadrant.
• Anything and everything else as required to ensure a successful project.
• Exceptional electronic organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 5 years Construction Project Management Experience
Residential and commercial construction experience
Demonstrated financial management skills
Demonstrated communication skills
Demonstrated organization skills
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Post-Secondary Education (Diploma or Degree)
Red Seal Trade Certificate (asset)
PMP Certification (asset)


Pay:
$75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
