Summary

We are launching a ClimateTech venture that will maximize Electric Vehicle (EV) charger uptime through a Network Operations Centre, giving Charge Point Operators (CPOs) unprecedented reliability of their entire network.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly experienced individual to act as Founder and Chief Executive Officer to build, lead and scale this venture.

This is not an employee opportunity at Diagram Ventures, but an opportunity in a new company created through our venture studio model.

This company will be independent of Diagram Ventures.

The opportunity

As the adoption rate for Electric Vehicles (EVs) drastically increases, EV charging infrastructure is expanding to support the growing number of consumer and commercial EVs on the road.

Charge Point Operators (CPOs) are tasked with being in control of their charging station's reliability and ensuring their network is operable, which is easier said than done.

Charger failure has been a major topic of discussion in the industry over the last two years, with many studies showing 1/5 of chargers are found to be inoperable at any given time due to software or hardware faults.

Today, charger reliability is more important than ever with uptime requirements in the US seen to be 97% and similar standards on the horizon in Canada.

We believe CPOs need support to streamline the repair and maintenance process to minimize station downtime. We have defined a vision for a company that will solve for charger reliability.

Our newly created venture offers a suite of tools to ensure uptime requirements are met and to keep stations performing at their best.

This venture has been significantly de-risked, with product-market fit verified and a solid commercial pipeline. Diagram provides capital, network, and support services, giving you the leverage you need to quickly scale this business.

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated entrepreneur, looking to maximize their chances of success, all while retaining significant founder equity.

Who we're looking for:

We are assembling the dream team of entrepreneurs and technologists, and we are now looking for an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to lead the venture and guide the strategic vision.

Key responsibilities:

Articulate and drive the strategic vision of the organization; execute, build upon, and scale the business' existing timeline/product roadmap
Build and lead a high caliber team
Develop and execute the gotomarket strategy
Provide overall leadership to the organization, working across all aspects and functions of the business (product, marketing, sales, services, tech, finance, etc.).
Lead the fundraising efforts in conjunction with the management team and investors.
Work closely with the Investors/Board, communicating regularly

Experience

Trackrecord of leading a business as a CEO, President, COO, Product Executive, or GM with P&L ownership within an organization.
Previously took a business or product from 0 to
Extensive knowledge in business development and partnership functions
Experience working at the intersection of hardware, software, and services

Other Desirable Assets

The person has previously worked in the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) industry
