Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, direct calls to dental staff as needed, and address patient inquiries
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients
- Expertise in working with Tracker dental software for managing patient records and appointments
- Prepare patient charts for appointments and maintain records in files and computer database
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and answer basic questions about the dental office
- Obtaining predetermination of patients' dental insurance coverage and explaining insurance details to patients
- Perform general office management tasks, such as maintaining a clean and organized workspace and stacking up the coffee machine area
- File and retrieve patient records
- Bid farewell to patients as they leave the office and assist in other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using Tracker dental software is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A clear understanding of dental insurance and the ability to obtain predetermination of patients' coverage
- Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
- A friendly and professional demeanour
- Must be available to work on Thursdays and Fridays
