As an Associate on our Employee Benefits Team, you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of our benefits and retirement division including new business, service, and renewals.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone already familiar with the benefits and retirement industry, who is eager to grow their career and make a significant impact on our clients and organization.
Key Responsibilities
New Business:
- Collaborate with the VIVID team to create marketing strategies and compelling proposals to attract new clients.
- Serve as a liaison with insurance carriers to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
- Develop marketing rate spreadsheets and work closely with the VIVID team to create customized client proposals.
- Take charge of new group enrollment and onboarding processes.
- Help conduct informative employee information sessions aimed at educating employees on their benefits packages
Service:
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on their benefit plans and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Facilitate enrollment and termination processes for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Renewal:
- Lead negotiations with insurance carriers to secure the best possible renewal terms for clients.
- Prepare comprehensive renewal reports for clients, outlining their current coverage and potential enhancements, and any rate changes.
- Arrange client meetings for advisors to discuss renewal options with clients.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of meeting packages, including quotes and presentation drafting.
- Prepare policy contracts and relevant documents for placement and submission to insurance carriers.
- Handle client correspondence related to beneficiary changes, banking updates, and claims processing.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in the benefits and retirement industry or a similar role.
- GBA or CEBS Designation preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM software such as Salesforce, is preferred.
- A proactive and resultsoriented mindset, with the ability to take ownership and solve problems independently.
Compensation
- Salary: $65,000 $70,000
- Bonus compensation up to 10% of the base salary
