Introduction:

Dovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Project Quality Advisor - Subsea, St. John's, NL


Function:


Reporting to the Project Quality Manager, the Project Quality Advisor is responsible for monitor quality performance and conducting surveillance activities related to equipment construction.

The project Quality Advisor shall oversee day to day activities related to construction of project equipment to ensure project quality requirements are adhered too and equipment is constructed as per specifications.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct Quality audits and inspections at contractor and subcontractors' facilities
  • Conduct/participate in incident investigations when required
  • Development and implementation of subsea project procedures such as:
  • Development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan
  • Development and implementation of the Project HSE Plan
  • Development and execution of Project audit Plan
  • Review and approval of Contractor and Subcontractor ITP's
  • Periodic visits to contractors and subcontractor facilities to review progress, and compliance to quality and safety standards
  • Implement and coordinate project vendor assessment and inspection program and activities.
  • Attend Contractor meetings and report on QHSE aspects and issues
  • Coordinate the usage of 3rd party inspectors at Contractors and subcontractors' sites
  • Monitor and report on contractor quality requirements and review contractor evaluations for performance and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain Quality/Certification Matrix identifying all quality and certification requirements related to each scope
  • Complete final inspections, documentation reviews on equipment prior to equipment being released from manufacturing and installation
  • Coordinate/Oversee project punch list process to ensure all outstanding actions from fabrication and testing are completed prior to deployment
  • Monitor SAT/SIT processes to ensure all testing is completed in a safe manner and all testing/inspection is completed prior to handover
  • Daily Interaction with contractor/subcontractor Quality, Safety and project personnel to ensure the following;
  • Equipment testing and Inspections are completed in accordance to approved procedures.
  • Ensure that NCR's are properly identified, documented and addressed to mitigate operational risk
  • Ensure that equipment documentation and records are reviewed and approved within a timely manner
  • Ensure effective interface between the contractor and the Certifying authority
  • Ensure production activities are executed in a controlled and safe manner

Deliverables:


  • Maintain Equipment tracking databases
  • Produce reports for surveillance, audits and inspections
  • Attend meetings with owner and client and report on quality actions, concerns
  • Generate, monitor and close out Nonconformance reports and punch list
  • Develop project processes and procedures as required

Requirements:


Competencies:


  • Strong knowledge of welding practices and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of NDE practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of Industrial painting and Coating Practices and Procedures
  • Experience/knowledge working for certifying authorities regarding certification of Subsea equipment
  • Experience in reviewing and approving fabrication/technical documentation
  • Manufacturing record books
  • Welding and NDE data
  • Material Test Reports/ Material Traceability
  • Equipment test Reports
  • Knowledge of the following codes and standards
  • ISO 9001:2015
  • API 17D
  • Experience conducting Quality audits in a fabrication/construction environment
  • Willingness to travel

Qualifications:


  • Completion of Engineering degree or Engineering Technology Program
  • 510 years' experience working with offshore equipment construction
