BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY
Postmedia Parcel Services is looking for an
independent contractor to perform delivery services in the Halifax and Dartmouth Region. Independent contractors must have a valid driver's license. With this opportunity the faster you work, the more $$$, the potential is up to you

The independent contractor will have a solid customer service track record in the delivery/distribution field and will provide an infrastructure that supports the delivery of Postmedia parcels and other associated products.

Previous delivery driver experience is preferred.

The independent contractor will be required to provide their own WCB/WSIB coverage.

This contract begins March 7th.

Deliveries are Tuesday through Saturday and delivery routes will be approximately - 8 hours per day, depending on volume of parcels to be delivered.

As volume increases, the opportunity exists to increase to 7 day a week deliveries. Pick up time is 9:00 AM. The independent contractor will be responsible for delivering parcels to residential and commercial customers.

Core responsibilities for the independent contractor delivery driver include:

Sorting & scanning your assigned packages for the day
Carefully loading the parcels into your personal vehicle for delivery (Van/SUV is optimal for success)
Delivering the parcels to the customer's doorstep
Taking photos of the delivered parcels through our parcel app

The independent contract delivery driver must:

Be 18 years of age or older
Have their own WCB/WSIB coverage
Have a valid G class driver's license or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
Have a valid auto insurance with minimum coverage limits of $1,000,000 CAD
Vehicle in good working order
Have a mobile device so we can set you up on our delivery app.
Be available to work 57 days a week (and available on call, as needed, to cover emergency parcel delivery
