DSG Power Systems is a Saskatchewan leader in diesel engine service, power generation, and fuel quality solutions. We support agriculture, industrial, fleet, transportation, and resource sectors with:
- Heavy-duty diesel engine parts and repair
- Industrial and commercial generator systems
- 4+ premium diesel fuel additives
- Fuel filtration and fuel quality management solutions
We are expanding and looking for a high-performing, self-motivated Technical Sales Representative who wants ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in growing a business.
The Opportunity
This is a results-driven technical sales role focused on:
- Territory development and account growth
- New customer acquisition
- Expanding recurring additive and service business
- Strengthening DSG's generator and power solutions presence
You will work directly with leadership, supported by experienced technical teams, and given the flexibility to pursue opportunities without corporate bureaucracy.

Key Responsibilities
Territory & Business Development
- Proactively develop new industrial, agricultural, fleet, and commercial accounts
- Build long-term relationships with decision-makers
- Identify opportunities within competitive and underserved markets
- Maintain consistent sales activity through calls, site visits, and follow-ups
Generator Sales
- Promote and sell standby and prime power generator systems
- Conduct site assessments and needs analysis
- Work with internal technical teams to prepare proposals
- Support projects through the sales process to completion
4+ Fuel Additive & Fuel Solutions
- Grow market adoption of DSG's 4+ diesel fuel additive line
- Educate customers on fuel quality risks and preventative maintenance
- Develop long-term fuel management relationships
Service & Contract Sales
- Promote preventative maintenance programs
- Support service agreements and repair opportunities
- Identify parts and service upsell opportunities
Strategic Growth
- Participate in recommending and launching new products and services
- Provide market feedback to leadership to support business expansion initiatives
Trade Shows & Industry Events
- Represent DSG and the 4+ fuel additive product line at trade shows and industry events
- Travel as required, including out-of-town and occasional overnight stays
- Actively promote products, generate leads, and build relationships with prospective customers at events and in the field
Account Management
- Maintain accurate customer records and activity tracking
- Follow up on opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Technical Sales, Business, Communications, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in industrial, technical, or B2B sales preferred
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, power generation, fuel systems, or related equipment
- A self-directed individual who takes initiative and drives results
- Highly motivated, eager to work, and committed to continuous improvement
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel and work occasional out-of-town trade shows or events
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within territory
Compensation
- Starting salary of $75,000 per year, with a formal review after three months of employment
- Further salary increases assessed based on productivity, quality of work, and overall fit within the DSG team
- Clear performance targets and goals established following the three-month probation period
- Performance-based bonuses tied to achievement of defined goals (introduced after probation)
