Business Analyst for Heavy Duty Parts & Supplies

6-8-month contract

About You.
We are excited to be seeking a passionate member to join our team under a six-to-eight-month contract. With a high degree of initiative, this individual is a self-starter who demonstrates an unwavering commitment to workplace practices. You have proven experience as a Business Analyst. Your exceptional organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills enable you to coordinate, optimize and work efficiently. You are highly proficient in Excel, Project Management, and Procurement software.

Your experience and knowledge with heavy duty parts, industrial parts and supplies are paramount as you build a project plan of integrating these product lines into our Company.

A solid team player, you also possess outstanding communication skills.


Compensation will be based on experience and education. Vacation will be paid out on each cheque, bi-weekly. See below for details on what CTR has to offer.

What you will do

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
  • Create a project plan and present to CTR's Ownership team project outcomes, timelines, and resources required to reach project objective: to set up a heavyduty parts inventory at our location on Transport Road.
  • Analyze customers' stock orders and current purchases accurately, effectively, and clearly to gather data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support purchasing decisions to align with the project goal.
  • Analyze suppliers and buying groups to support CTR's procurement needs. Determine CTR's best suited option and present to CTR's Ownership team.
  • Source heavy duty parts and supplies not currently within CTR's inventory that were requested by customers.
  • Perform market research on our competitors and on heavyduty customers in Winnipeg and surrounding area.
  • Create an inventory map of warehouse utilization to maximize space both.
  • Using Excel and Procurement Software, create an inventory of products with part number, supplier name, cost, selling price within GP margins, suggested min / max levels, estimated delivery times, order qualities, bulk discounts, and any other pertinent information.
  • Present the inventory list to CTR's president and Branch Manager.
  • Order inventory and enter stock into our ERP system: Amador.
  • Work with warehouse staff to put stock away and set up proper bin locations (physically and on Amador).
  • Liaise with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders, followup to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales and analyze to ensure min / max levels are accurate and adjust if needed.
  • Create and maintain documentation of project.
  • Create tracking progress.
  • Create weekly reports of project progress, uses of resources, next steps, areas of concern and any other pertinent information to share with CTR's President and Branch Manager.
  • Align with CTR's Values encourage others to seek a positive attitude by working with these Values.

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • Generating Purchase Orders on an ERP system
  • Invoicing customers on an ERP system
  • Proficient in all four: Inventory Tracking Software, Project Management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel to review sales history, inventory files and to perform sales and purchasing analysis
  • Knowledge in heavyduty parts and supplies
