OPPORTUNITY
We're hiring a professional, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our dynamic management team. This full-time position will allow for the opportunity to put your knowledge and technical skills to work.


In this role, you will work closely with families and effectively engage in local communities reducing barriers and increasing accessibility for individuals with Intellectual disabilities.

WHAT WE DO?


Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives & Community Service, our team is responsible for the oversight of evidence based; member directed community supports.


THE ROLE:


  • Strong Performance Management abilities: Supervising within a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Experience with Financial/

Budget Management:
Maintaining program finances.

  • Proven Leadership and

Collaboration Abilities:
Working closely with families, local community partners and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Effective Advocacy Skills: Creating partnerships to support 'full inclusion' of member needs and conflicting demands.
  • Creative Problem Solving and

Decision Making:
responding to member needs and conflicting demands.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and

Maintain High Service Quality:
Creating innovative service solutions to meet individual member needs.

  • Provide onCall duties on a rotational basis.
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace.
  • Will ensure the wellbeing and safety of staff and people supported by being knowledgeable of and ensuring adherence to related legislation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

WHAT YOU BRING:


  • College or University Degree in a related field or other relevant postsecondary.
  • Minimum 1 year experience post graduate working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong organization and problemsolving skills.
  • Open to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Responds well to changing priorities or circumstances and demonstrates resilience and positivity when faced with disruptions or obstacles.
  • Valid Driver's license is required and use of own vehicle is condition of employment.

NICE TO HAVE:


  • French speaking language is an asset.

Pay Range:
$58,000 to $68,000
.


Hours of Work:
Full Time, 40 hours weekly based on program need and on call duties as required.

Employment with
VITA is conditional on your ability to meet the following requirements:

  • Proof of negative COVID-19 test completed in the last 7 days before start date.
  • Proof of completed COVID19 Vaccinations, or a commitment to receive the third dose in the first week from the date of hire (or documentation proving inability to receive the Vaccine due to medical or religious grounds)
