At our in-house location, we offer 1000+ tabletop games, theme & group play nights, Trivia Nights, Paint Nights, D&D, Pokémon Play, tournaments, game sales, rentals and much more.

We also offer off-site and virtual play experiences for private and corporate clients through our Funny Bones Entertainment division.

The Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) is one of our offerings for ages 6-12. It is a full day, play-based learning camp, and runs this year from July 2nd - Aug 30th.

In order to help facilitate this, and make lesson planning fun, we will incorporate fun, engaging themes. This year, they include;

Clowning Around _(Wk 1:
July 2-5) _School's out It's time to get goofy, and tickle that FUNNY BONE This week we become clowns and circus performers, learn to juggle, do magic tricks, and more


Dungeons and Dwarves (_Wk 2:
July 8-12) _This week is all about the tall and small, the magical and the mysterious. Meet giants and dwarves, play D&D, and let your fantasies run free.


Martian Mysteries (_Wk 3:
July _There are aliens "Among Us". Join us for a mysterious medley hopping from planet to planet and meeting all kinds of different beings.


Knights and Knaves (_Wk 4:
July _United we stand, knights of the round table. Create your own medieval gear and protect your castle from fire-breathing dragons


Parrots and Pirates (_Wk 5:
July 29-Aug 2) _Arrr Matey Search the seas for sunken treasures maybe you'll find "one piece" of gold or maybe you'll find more Don't get too greedy though, or you'll walk the plank


Wacky and Wonderful (_Wk 6:
Aug 6-9) _

Get ready to get messy with a wonderfully wacky and colour-filled week. Mix and match colour, make tie-dyed shirts and more


Survival - Shipwrecked (_Wk 7: Aug _Your ship has crash landed on an island. How will you ever survive? Outwit, outplay, and outlast the other survivors to become the ultimate champion and escape the island.


The Wild, Wild West (_Wk 8: Aug _Get your cowboy hat and boots and venture into the Wild, Wild West. Capture your steed, play at being a cop or a robber, and find your way out of driest of deserts.


PlayMasters (_Wk 9:
Aug _Dive deep into the digital world with Zelda, Mario, Minecraft and more.

Also join us for an extra special end of the summer event:
Campers vs Counsellors.

Instructors are responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, play-based programming to participants, scaled appropriately for specified ages.

Groups are capped at 10 campers, and Junior Leaders will be there to provide support and gain experience through their guidance.

Counsellors will facilitate daily programming, both in-house and outdoors, in roughly 90-minute periods, following a structured lesson plan.

They will also supervise and manage large groups for various types of play, making sure that order, materials, and spaces are well maintained.

They will be responsible for keeping participants safe and making sure that they have a great experience.


Qualifications/Experience

  • Teaching, Early Childhood Education, Camp Leader, Counsellor, Coaching and Day Care experience all considered assets
  • Experience researching, developing, and executing lesson plans
  • Experience with children in an active setting
  • Game knowledge and playbased learning experience an asset
  • Experience with board games, tabletop play, D&D, Pokémon and other forms of play considered an asset
  • Passion for contributing to developing, young minds

Education

  • Currently pursuing college level or above, or equivalent experience

Skills

  • Ability to work in a teamoriented, collaborative, and dynamic environment
  • Think creatively to produce new and exciting playbased learning activities for camp clients
  • Beyond excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize, use templatebased planning and write clear instructions
  • Patient, caring and responsible
