Description

The Packaging Operator reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for keeping the packaging line running like a well-tended field.

They make sure everything's moving efficiently and on schedule.

This hardworking individual is hands-on with the feed process, making sure everything meets the quality standards and all the paperwork's taken care of.

They're also trained in multiple roles, including mixin' it up as a mixer operator. And when the mixer operators are out, they step up and hold it down during different shifts and intervals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Packaging of product;
  • Working to quality standards, and following SOP's;
  • Completes all paperwork required for assigned tasks;
  • Maintains general housekeeping of work area;
  • Endeavours to be productive at all times.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent;
  • Willingness and ability to learn;
  • Conscientious and thorough;
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work 7.5 hour rotational shifts; and 12.5 hour shifts
  • Must be able to lift 25kg;
  • Positive work ethic and attitude.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
