Transportation Supervisor Career OpportunityThe Dufresne Group is currently seeking a Transportation Supervisor for our Winnipeg Distribution Centre located at 230 Panet Road.
As a Transportation Supervisor you will responsible for leading the transportation team to ensure the effective and efficient flow of products through the Distribution Centre and their delivery into our guest's homes, consistent with the company's service expectations.

As the Transportation Supervisor you will:
Assist in recruiting, selecting, and training employees
Maintain productivity through coaching, counselling and holding employees accountable.
Ensure that departments are staffed to workflow
Ensure the safe, timely, and effective flow of product through the Distribution Center
Provide daily fleet management
Provide validation of routing effectiveness
Be responsible for data availability and documentation to facilitate preparation of productivity reports and key performance indicators.
Be responsible for the control and management of inventory into SNL
Exercise quality control processes on product scheduled for delivery to the customer
Effectively communicate between Distribution Center staff and all internal customers
Understand, follow distribution and transportation, and ensure compliance with all safe work practices and rules
Enforce safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees.
Complete transportation field audits as prescribed by Manager, Transportation.
High School diploma, post-secondary education is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a shipping and transportation environment.
Valid Class 5 Driver's license with a clean Driver's abstract (with air is a plus).
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs.
Ability to build high-performing work teams with the ability to adapt to changes in the environment, and influence change.
Highly effective decision-making and problem-solving, and communication skills.
Commitment to personal development.
Knowledge on relevant industry standards and guidance.
Good physical condition with stamina to lift at least pounds.
Available to accommodate flexible work schedules, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Ability to operate varying equipment (dock loader, hand truck, cardboard baler, garbage baler, lift truck, etc.) is an asset.
Criminal Record Check is required.
Current Driver's abstract must be provided.
