- Operate commercial vehicles
- Completing daily driver logs in accordance with Alberta's hour of service regulations
- Fill out pre and post trip inspections
- Ensure vehicle is properly equipped and in proper working order
- Give proper care to the operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Follow the scheduled plan for deliveries and inform supervisor if you must deviate for any reason
- Maintain shipping and loading documents
- Maintain professional driving habits at all times
- Be alert to risks and threats in order to prevent losses before they occur
- Must be flexible and work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Valid Class one (1) drivers and clean five (5) year drivers abstract
- Five (5) year Commercial Driver Abstract, current within 30 days, is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to speak, read and write English is required
- Load securement and deck experience is required
- Air Brake "Q" Endorsement is required
- Forklift certification is required
- Warehousing/ yard work experience is an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Summary:
Under the direction of the Team Leader, the Class 1 Driver is responsible for the safe operation of various types of tractor trailers including vans and decks for pick-up and delivery of materials for transport to a destination.
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires completion of pre-employment testing and requires a class 1 driver's license (or equivalent), and a satisfactory Five (5) year Commercial Driver's Abstract to support insurability. Employee is also required to complete a in-house road-test prior to onboarding.
