Overview:

Commissionaires Great Lakes offers an immediate opportunity for a versatile, highly motivated Security Professional.

We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills, strong working knowledge of computer systems, CCTV experience, a positive attitude and the ability to provide excellent customer service, security and protection for our client's site.

As a front-line representative of our company and client's site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with mínimal supervision, have the ability to multi task and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.


  • Operate company patrol vehicle in accordance with company policy and HTA regulations
  • Conduct property patrols of client locations, in accordance with site instructions
  • Respond to and investigate alarm calls when dispatched
  • Conduct Private Property Parking Enforcement at client locations, in accordance with City of London bylaws and site procedures
  • Conduct ATM escort duties as required
  • Perform SafeTracks GPS monitoring bracelet duties as requested
  • Conduct site visits at static security guard locations
  • Enforce the Trespass to Property Act when required
  • Liaise with Police, Fire, EMS as appropriate during incidents
  • Complete patrol and incident reports utilizing reporting software, and paper reports as required
  • Maintain professionalism at all times, during all interactions
  • Be responsible for the care and upkeep of company vehicle and all assigned equipment during your shift
  • Be proficient with the use of technology (eg: cell phone, computer, etc)
  • Undertake all training assigned to you, including CGL's Use of Force training program.
  • Obtain and maintain federal reliability clearance status
  • Report concerns or complaints received to Patrol Supervisor or Regional Manager
  • Be available to adjust schedule as required to accommodate the needs of the patrol team
  • Perform other duties as requested by Patrol Supervisor or Management

Qualifications:


  • Ontario Guard License
  • Emergency First Aid with CPR
  • Full 'G' Driver's License
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Five Years of residency in Canada for security clearance

Training:

2-3 shifts with Patrol Supervisor or Lead Driver, to be arranged upon assignment to the detachment
Site specific training at patrol client locations, to be arranged with patrol lead or site supervisors

Shift Timing:
Continental, Thursday - Sunday 19:00 - 07:00 (week 1); Friday - Sunday 19:00 - 07:00 (week 2).
