MENTOR a Johnson & Johnson Company, is recruiting for a National Sales Manager in Canada. MENTOR, is a leading supplier of breast implants in the global aesthetic market.

The company develops, manufactures, and markets innovative, science-based products for surgical and non-surgical medical procedures that allow breast surgery patients to improve their quality of life.


The company is focused on two strategic areas:
breast reconstruction and breast augmentation. MENTOR is the only manufacturer whose silicone breast implants are made in the U.S.A. For over 20 years, more than 5 million women have chosen MENTOR Breast Implants.


The role of Mentor's National Sales Manager is to inspire and motivate the Sales team in the establishment and achievement of business plan goals, while also ensuring the best customer experience in line with J&J's Credo values.

Following are some key expectations of the Mentor NSM role:


  • Accountable for the sales team delivering on quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, while enabling their success through coaching, ongoing dialogue and candid performance feedback
  • Responsible for building a highperforming sales team by hiring strong talent, developing people, succession planning and talent scouting
  • Develop revenue growth plans and be fully responsible for translating them into actionable goals, and priorities for direct reports.
  • Lead and shape tender/RFPs and deliver successful outcomes
  • Effectively manage budgets, team quotas and internal resources to achieve business imperatives.
  • Accountable for the overall success of Canadian Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions (CSS), as a member of the business unit Leadership Team
  • Build strong strategic partnerships both internally and externally to drive business growth
  • Accountable for the execution of sales and marketing plans in full accordance with J&J Healthcare Compliance guidelines and protocols
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to ensure contract compliance
  • Gain market insights through interaction with customers, payors, and industry experts; develop a deep understanding of problems, needs, and translate them into executable strategies, in collaboration with marketing
  • Shape and lead the development of innovative offerings and solutions, which deliver value beyond products for our customers
  • Be a leader in implementing a digitalfirst approach in the organization, e.g. effectively employing digital marketing, social media, and data analytic systems etc.
  • Regularly analyze sales results and market trends to share insights with senior management, as requested
  • Review and manage portfolio relative to market demand to optimize resource allocation
  • Ensure strong collaboration with all crossfunctional partners, including Marketing, Strategic Customer Group (SCG), Finance, Customer Care, Health Economics, Professional & Commercial Education departments
Ensure complete adherence to Health Care Compliance (HCC) guidelines in all aspects of business conduct


Qualifications:


Education:


  • University degree in Business/Marketing or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.

Experience and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of successful performance as a sales representative. Strong background in all aspects of the sales process in a regulated healthcare environment, preferably medical devices. The ability to work in a lab or operating room environment is required.
  • Bilingual in English and French strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the hospital and private clinic environment is an asset
  • People leadership skills, a track record of achieving results through others and developing talent in the organization. A minimum of two years of sales management experience people is highly preferred.
  • Experience in managing full P&L is preferred
  • Surgical sales experience selling to surgeons in an operating room environment, and Aesthetics sales experience, calling on plastic surgeons is preferred
  • Formal sales training experience, people development skills, territory planning, customer call planning preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Ability to travel as necessary (approximately >40%), which may include overnight and/or weekend travel is required.
