We are looking for a Computer Support Technician to support our Client Service Centre (CSC). The Computer Support Technician would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The incumbent will also be involved with providing tier 1 hardware support, which involves gathering information from the client, analyzing the situation, and providing basic troubleshooting procedures before escalating to tier 2 support.
KEY ACTIVITIES in the context of the C/B/I IT integrated infrastructure:
- Image computers as per profile requirement.
- Tracking and registering computers and peripherals into a configuration management database (CMDB).
- Implement and enforce PC management standards and policies.
- Assist in the creation of, and maintain up to date procedures and guidelines on how to manage and configure IT equipment.
- Verify if equipment has been received correctly.
- Solve computer hardware and mobile device problems.
- Keep up to date with current technological trends in computers.
- Preparing and shipping orders to personal and onsite locations.
- Predeployment testing, troubleshooting, and technical diagnosis of new/existing computers.
- Support and manage Mobile Devices
Screening Criteria:
Education:
Certificate or college diploma in computer science or a related field.

Experience:
- Experience with desktop software or hardware imaging technologies.
- Experience with computer hardware components assembly.
- Experience with mobile phones (iOs / Android).
- Experience with software and driver installation, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Experience using ticket tracking systems such as Axios Assyst.

- Strong knowledge and ability to install computer hardware and peripherals, including Windowsbased desktop PCs, laptops, tablets as well as manage mobile devices.

- Good knowledge and ability to install, configure, and maintain Windows 10 operating system and system drivers.
- Good knowledge of processes around imaging software or hardware, inventory and asset management and change management concepts.
- Excellent time management skills to allow prioritization of service requests coming from clients with competing deadlines.

Relocation:
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.
Compensation:
Salary under review
From $58,632 to $75,385 per annum.
An incumbent occupying a position within the CS Group is currently entitled to receive a terminable allowance of $139 per month.
