    Duties:

    • Preparing Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) documentation, including but not limited to: Control Panel Schematic, Instrument Block Diagram, Single Line Diagram, Logic Diagram, Control Narrative, etc., conforming to customer expectation and engineering standards.
    • Working closely with EI&C Supervisor and project engineering team to complete EI&C related project documentation.
    • Design project specific PLC and HMI programming to project or internal programming design standards.
    • Review and design EI&C documentation to customer specifications and internal Engineering standards.
    • Researching and selecting suitable components to complete control panel designs.
    • Supporting engineering with Instrumentation selection and configuration
    • Assistance in preparation of various project documents.
    • Completing Shop; electrical installation, factory acceptance testing, pre-commissioning and components testing.
    • Domestic and International travel to customer sites to complete Site Acceptance Testing/Commissioning and troubleshooting services.
    • Preparing technical reports detailing site activities, commissioning records and troubleshooting results.
    • Performing on-site classroom and field training for operations and maintenance staff.
    • Uphold all company policies, procedures and best practices.
    • Comply with STT ISO requirements.
    • Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures.
    • Any additional duties and responsibilities as required.

    Requirements:

    • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in electro-mechanical engineering technology or a related field
    • 2+ years of related experience as an engineering technologist completing programming and electrical field work .
    • Strong Knowledge of EI&C design software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical) and programming software (Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk View, others)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to read and understand engineering documentation
    • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability
    • Detail oriented
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work through stressful conditions
    • Moderate physical effort. Requires a moderate amount of sitting for prolonged periods of time while using the computer
    • Required to travel to the client sites, as needed (domestic and international)
    • Ability to deal with conflict and client relations issues causing stress at times
    • Must be able to manage frequent interruptions and multiple tasks daily
    • Attention to detail and visual concentration required which may cause mental and physical strain
