Position Description


The
IT Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data solutions to meet the needs of our stakeholders.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, the
IT Specialist will leverage Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and Tableau to develop data models, ETL processes, reports, and dashboards.

The role will involve collaborating with business users, researchers and scientists to understand requirements, optimizing database performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to visualize data and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Design and implement reports in Microsoft SSRS for operational and analytical reporting needs.
  • Build and maintain SSAS cubes for multidimensional analysis and data mining.
  • Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data integration, transformation, and workflow automation.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, understand data needs, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize query performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve datarelated issues in a timely manner.
  • Document technical specifications, data models, and ETL processes.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices in SQL Server, Tableau, and Business Intelligence technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a SQL/Database Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including T-SQL programming, database design, and optimization.
  • Experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or similar software suites for data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SSRS for creating and publishing operational and analytical reports.
  • Experience with Microsoft SSAS for building and maintaining multidimensional models and cubes.
  • Handson experience with Microsoft SSIS for ETL development and automation.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative development methodologies is a plus.

Salary Range:
$ $54.94 per hour
