Duties & Responsibilities:


  • General Finishing Carpentry both interior and exterior
  • Flooring
  • Cabinetry
  • Door and Window Installation, relocation
  • Deck Construction
  • Reading and Interpreting Building Plans and Blueprints
  • Ability to assist with material take offs
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Supervise and coordinate the work performed by crew of workers
  • Ensure work progresses on schedule

Qualifications:


  • Carpenter Experience 35 years (preferred)
  • Kitchen Renovation Experience
  • Bathroom Renovation Experience
  • Proven experience in residential remodelling or construction
  • Strong leadership skills and effective communication skills
- excellent time management skills

  • Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work in accordance to the Building Code
  • Knowledge of General Construction Safety
  • Excellent problem solving skills both on and off site
  • Reliable Team Player
  • Must have your own basic tools
  • Must own Steel Toe Boots
  • Reliably commute to site

Pay:
$25.00-$40.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Nepean, ON K2E 7Z9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- carpentry: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
