Tasks:


  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
  • Calculate heating and cooling loads, design duct systems and select equipment for residential and small commercial construction
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
  • Fit and join sheet metal parts
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:


  • Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification
  • Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course

Welding techniques:
