Who Can Apply:

Applicants must possess:

An undergraduate degree in education, linguistics, political sciences, or a related field of study with a minimum of 35 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in education and language initiatives
A minimum of 35 years of positive experience working with First Nations
Knowledge and understanding of First Nation Education and language initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex ideas and information to any audience
Familiarity of manipulating and analyzing data on management information systems/databases and Excel
Demonstrated ability to understand and conduct research, analyze statistical data, and interpret and communicate findings in a clear and concise way to a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated experience working with First Nations, federal, provincial, territorial, northern, urban, and international governments, and officials
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, teamwork, and judgement
Demonstrated time management, planning, and organizational skills
English is the working language although the ability to communicate effectively in French

or an Indigenous language would be an asset
