Position Description:


Responsibilities

  • Serves as receptionist, receiving clients on the telephone or in person. Screens calls and refers callers to appropriate resources within the area. Provides factual information or refers inquiries to appropriate staff as necessary. Directs visitors to the appropriate department.
  • Provides secretarial and clerical support. Prepares general correspondence, reports and other related documents as required. May arrange meetings, conference rooms and catering. Assists with the maintenance of recording and filing systems.
  • Receives, processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail according to established procedures.
  • Performs other related duties such as photocopying, recording meeting minutes, ordering supplies, faxing, etc. as required.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

  • High school completion
  • Three to six months of related office experience
  • Completion of related recognized postsecondary courses in Office Administration or its equivalent is preferred
  • Other equivalent combinations of directly related postsecondary education and directly related experience may be considered

  • Good ability to adapt and manage change
  • Very good verbal and listening (telephone and inperson) communication skills combined with very good interpersonal skills
