The Loss Prevention/Health and Safety Coordinator for Aspect Retail Logistics Inc. is responsible for coordinating activities related to employee safety at the facility.
This position provides technical and administrative direction on all Safety and Security decisions, which have critical importance to Aspect Retail Logistics objectives and operations.
Education and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years experience in the Health and Safety and/or Security field with a focus in logistics industry
- Knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation for Industrial Environments, WHMIS Regulation, and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
- Valid Certification JHSC Members Certificate would be considered asset
- Excellent meeting/training facilitation, communication and English written skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Possess the ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
- Experience in a unionized environment
Responsibilities Include
- Safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/injury reports.
- Coordinate programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, and Orientation.
- Monitor employees onsite to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolution.
- Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them and you have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations

- May perform other duties as required
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift 03.30hrs hrs (Sunday to Thursday)
Salary:
$45,500.00-$47,000.00 per year
