The payments landscape is rapidly changing and we are looking for your help to make it happen. Are you excited about the future of real-time payments and open banking? Responsibilities:
The Manager, Payments Product, is responsible for:
- Keeping up to date on the latest developments with Payments Canada and Real-Time Rails and creating the strategy for implementation at Capital One Canada
- Connecting with internal partners and industry peers to understand payment trends and innovations
- Defining the strategic direction for credit card payments, as well as the underlying technology platform that fuels them
- Developing and maintaining roadmaps and set of strategies that enable progress towards the strategic direction for payments
- Effectively partnering with engineers to align technology investments with the product agenda, spanning end user functionalities, internal capabilities, and platform health
- Elevating the product management craft through promoting a mindset of outcomes over outputs and iterative learning
- Influencing teams and senior stakeholders to your product vision and proactively leveraging relationships throughout the ecosystem to align to your vision
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a payments product management role.
- Payments specific knowledge (e.g., at a bank, fintech or payment network), including understanding of payment systems in Canada, such as the Automated Clearing Settlement System (ACSS).
- A bachelor's degree or higher.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in payment fraud, such as cheque, bank, wire or other payment fraud. General fraud experience is also an asset.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and crossfunctional team
- Technical and design knowledge to effectively discuss solutions with partners
