Scope
We're looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to spend the summer helping the City of Surrey in putting on great, inclusive day camps for children and youth with disabilities. As a Community Service Assistant 2 - Day Camp support staff, you will be mainly responsible for providing support to children and youth with disabilities attending summer day camps.
You will have excellent customer skills, high energy, and an enthusiastic approach to your work.
This auxiliary position offers weekly shifts Monday to Friday from 9:00a.m. - 3:00p.m., running from July 7 to August 21, 2026. The role requires availability at various locations across the City.
Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support or shared support and adapt activities as needed.
May assist with personal care for children with disabilities.
Help participants be safe and successful in a healthy environment.
Modify instruction and work with campers individually and in small groups to reinforce learning and skills, introduced by the leader.
General support in the delivery of summer day camps.
Demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 10.
Emergency First Aid certificate and CPR-C/AED certificate.
Some experience working in community service.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Conditions of Employment
This position requires completion of a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
