DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

Sincerely greets and welcomes guests and assess their beverage needs through specific questions.
Educates guests by presenting and explaining products.
Sells coffee and teas by explaining unique grinds, leaves and flavour profiles.
Generates revenues by attracting new guests and defining new and expanded services.
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must be available for minimum shifts during the week as well as weekends
:

Passionate about customer service.
Barista and/or Café experience preferred.
Comfortable with cash and POS systems.
Ability to work early mornings and alternating shifts.
Handle requests and daily tasks courteously and productively, using appropriate language and tone of voice.
Maintain a wellgroomed appearance and adheres to uniform standards.
Show willingness to be of assistance and take initiative in finding solutions when faced with obstacles.
Actively listen to other points of view and share thoughts and ideas in order to reach common understanding

Job Types:

Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

Day range:

Every Weekend
Monday to Friday

Shift:

8 hour shift
Day shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Plexiglass installed in front of the cash register, sanitizer is situated at the entrance and exit of the store

Experience:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)

- customer service: 2 years (required)
