Role Description

Good Shepherd Men's Emergency Shelter is a 54bed shelter for men. The emergency shelter provides a safe place for individuals who experience acute and chronic homelessness. Support and care are provided in a teambased approach, including 3 meals a day, basic needs, medical care from a Nurse Practitioner, housing supports and referrals.

hours scheduled with the ability to pick up shifts on an on-call basis

Provide leadership and support
Ensure daily tasks and expectations are met
Regular communication with Management and Supervisor
Perform any other duties related to the position directed by the Management of the Men's Centre

Qualifications

1+ years' experience working in a shelter setting or residential setting
Social Service Worker diploma or related diploma/degree
Current CPR and First Aid and Naloxone certificate is required
Experience working with individuals experiencing concurrent disorders, homelessness and/or mental health issues.
Knowledge in crisis intervention and prevention
Excellent attendance record
Must be available to work a 12hour shift schedule
