Technical Design Specialist

As the Technical Design Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Design track layouts and bracket diagrams for all ceiling lift projects.
- Assign a Quality Control (QC) number to each project and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD software and generate bill of materials through hyper shell.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in the project file folder, utilizing electronic folders and hard copies.
- Interpret blueprints, PDFs, and AutoCAD drawings to support ceiling lift projects.
- Provide technical support for all drawingrelated aspects of ceiling lift projects and products.
- Provide technical support to Architects & Engineers
- Collaborate with local sales representatives to assess project design and make necessary revisions.
- Develop and maintain reports using AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
- Demonstrate flexibility in handling other related assignments as required.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding product technical information, usage, ship dates, inventory, and parts availability.
- Provide support to the installation team to meet delivery timeframes and materials cost standards as the site permits.
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
The skills you will need
Educational Requirements:
- Highschool Diploma and a minimum of 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Certification in AutoCAD preferred.
Related Experience Requirements:
- Experience in the medical industry is an asset.
- 2+ years PC experience with AutoCAD.
- Must be able to read and interrupt CAD's. Experience creating building floor plans
- 3 years inside/outside technical experience
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to respond to inquiries and communicate with others in writing and via telephone.
- Ability to travel as needed.
_Must be able to interpret and manipulate data from computer-generated reports, software programs, technical manuals and written correspondence._
