Essential Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Passion for the beer industry and the craft beer business; demonstrated capacity to cultivate strong relationships inside and outside the organization
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for our customers with exceptional customer service, ethics, and high expectations for quality
  • Fostering a positive, fun, and safe environment for the hospitality team
  • Training new and existing staff in proper and safe techniques for service, opening and closing, and cleaning
  • Drive leadership of their team, including product knowledge, scheduling, performance management, reviews
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including Health & Safety Guidelines (AGLC, OH&S, & AHS)
  • Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the team to implement agreedupon strategies, practices, and promotions
  • Handle guest feedback and react quickly and professionally in person and online
  • Must possess strong computer skills in operating systems (Windows), G Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides etc.), presentation software, spreadsheets (Google Spreadsheets), communication and collaboration tools (Google Meet, Slack), accounting software, Inventory management & POS Software
  • Track & transfer monthly inventory
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading, and public speaking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with a high degree of professionalism at all times
  • Strong willingness to learn on the job & perform in stressful situations

Marketing:


  • Coordinating with the marketing team to meet Troubled Monk's marketing goals and contributing to social media content generation
  • Collaborate with Marketing to display, maintain and sell merchandise
  • Assist with sales review, merchandising, and promotions development
  • Work in cooperation with the Marketing Department to develop promotional and marketing materials for community, private and charitable events both large and small

Taproom:


  • Lead and manage the taproom team and in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed, providing support and training
  • Scheduling and communicating with various requests for events in our Cellar and overseeing the successful fulfillment of such events
  • Coordinating and communicating with multiple food vendors, such as food trucks
  • Assist customers with inquiries, tastings, food & beverage service, and brewery tours
  • Able to lead tours, relay historical and industry facts, answers guests' questions, and manage public safety during tours with solid crowd control and public speaking skills
  • Facilitate efficient and effective communication between FOH & BOH

Community Engagement & Event Coordination:


  • Facilitate and support the negotiation and implementation of agreements that contribute to effective and durable relationships within our community and industry in coordination with the Events Manager
  • Experience planning and coordinating a variety of events, including corporate events, beverage shows, beer festivals, private and charitable events, as well as other largescale outdoor and indoor events
  • Manages and/or coordinates the operation of internal and external events
  • Keep an organized, shared event calendar with the Troubled Monk staff that includes all pertinent information promptly
  • Meeting with potential clients looking for event space and discovering their event needs and how we can best serve them
  • Design and provide detailed floor plans to perspective events contacts
  • Seeing an event through to its conclusion to ensure it runs smoothly and meets our client's needs, as well as addressing any problems that may arise before or after the event
  • Communicate regularly with management concerning community engagement activities
