    Ottawa Gloucester Hornets Soccer
    The Ottawa Gloucester Hornets (OGH) is a non-profit community-based organization in Ottawa, offering soccer programs since 1972.

    OGH is committed to developing, teaching, and promoting soccer to all ages, at all levels of play, in a safe and healthy environment.

    We are currently seeking dynamic part-time coaches that will guide OGH players to achieve their goals and support them in their development.

    The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to coach within a curriculum and understand Long-Term Player Development (LTPD).


    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Coach is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the technical, tactical and physical curriculum that prepare players for successful development within the Eastern Ontario District Association under LTPD guidelines.

    This is a temporary position that requires evening hours, as well as weekends. Salary range will be $20.00- $25.00/hour.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of two years of coaching experience, preferably at U9-U18 ages.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated and committed to fair play.
    • Must be of good character and demonstrate leadership.
    • Mandatory certifications as required by our governing bodies – Ontario Soccer and Eastern Ontario
    District Association.

    • Complete a vulnerable sector police check.
    DUTIES &


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follow technical curriculum and philosophy as determined by Technical staff.
    • Adhere to club policies and overall vision for player development.
    • Develop and collaborate with Technical Staff to implement sessions plans to maximize player and
    team development, following LTPD guidelines.

    • Maintain effective communications and administrative systems between coaches, players, staff and
    parents.

    • Respect and support EODSA and Ontario Soccer policies and procedures.
    • Motivate and mentor players to succeed in a positive, constructive environment.
    • Abide by professional standards and conduct.
